Light the Night for Blood Cancer
16, 25 and 30 September 2009
Be seen in a good light during September at Light the Night, the Leukaemia Foundation's inspiring night to remember, celebrate and give hope to leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma patients and their families.
In Australia today, there are an estimated 40,000 people today living with blood cancer and related disorders, with this figure set to rise by 30% in the next decade. You can join us in giving them hope in a brighter future by supporting Light the Night.
Gather at twilight in Adelaide, Mt Gambier and Pt Lincoln to carry a balloon containing a tiny light:
- Light a gold balloon to REMEMBER a loved one
- Light a white balloon to CELEBRATE being a blood cancer survivor
- Light a blue balloon to GIVE HOPE and show your support
Enjoy entertainment, food stalls and hear inspirational stories leading up to the moment when we Light the Night and take part in a gentle scenic walk together.
Join thousands of people across Australia and create a sea of twinkling lights in support of blood cancer patients and their families.
