"Over the weekend of October 9 and 10, 2010 Trailblazer Challenge will provide an opportunity for adventure, fun & fitness for all those adventure seekers out there!

Presented by Operation Flinders in partnership with the Adelaide Rotary Club, Trailblazer is a team endurance event raising funds for two worthy charities.

Be challenge. Be a Trailblazer..

Beginning at Pinky Flat in the heart of Adelaide you can choose between an 18, 34, 50 or 100km distances that will take you through some beautiful sections of the Adelaide Plains and Hills.

An event for teams of two or four for the 18km, 34km and 50km legs and teams of four for the 100km, the Trailblazer Challenge provides an exciting way to improve your personal fitness, be part of a team challenge and a way to contribute to others who are less fortunate.

The first 18km along the Torrens River Linear Trail is accessible to wheelchairs, prams and pets and is achievable for all. The more challenging 34km and 50km trails wind their way up to some of our most scenic lookouts.  While Kuitpo Forest, 100 km from the start, beckons the tougher amongst us. A truly adventurous challenge.

The event has four aims:
1. To raise money for charity - Operation Flinders and various projects of the Rotary Club of Adelaide
2. To increase the physical activity levels of the community by
providing an enjoyable and challenging experience
3. To increase awareness of the environment that Adelaide has to offer while protecting the safety and enjoyment of all participants
4. Ensure continued support for the event in future years."
