Variety the Children’s Charity, formerly known as the Variety Club, originated in Pittsburgh, USA in 1928 and today spread across fourteen countries,  is dedicated to supporting children in need.

Since 1983, Variety in South Australia has raised in excess of $25 million net, a fantastic effort credited to Variety’s wonderful network of supporters, donors, sponsors and volunteers. Fundraising events throughout the year include the hugely successful ‘Variety Bash’, the 4WD Challenge, Official Rugby Sevens Luncheon, Adelaide Convention Centre Dinner, Show of Hearts Ball and Melbourne Cup Luncheon.

All money raised in South Australia stays in SA. As an Umbrella charity Variety supports many different organisations, hospitals, schools and individuals. Variety also provides children across the state with the opportunity to participate in special excursions such as visiting AFL games and the Adelaide Zoo as well as participating in Variety’s annual Children’s Christmas party in December. ‘No one stands taller than when stooping to help a child’
