The Long Walk, the charity inspired by AFL Champion Michael Long's walk to Canberra to get the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people back on the national agenda, will hold its first awareness raising event in Adelaide on Friday 11 November. Since 2006 The Long Walk has held a women's luncheon to celebrate the achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. This event will be celebrated at the Intercontinental Adelaide on 11 November with special guests Michael Long, Terri Janke, Karina Lester and the women from Marngrook Footy Show, Shelley Ware and Leila Gurruwiwi.
